Wynn’s International Inc., the Orange supplier of automotive air conditioners, sealing products, builders’ hardware and petrochemical specialties products, reported a profit of $2.4 million, or 65 cents a share, for the second quarter.

That was an increase of 41% over earnings of $1.7 million, or 48 cents a share, for the same period last year. Sales declined 7% to $71.3 million from $76.6 million. The company said the decline occurred at the company’s air-conditioning subsidiary and was mainly because of a drop-off in vehicle sales by a customer that imports vehicles from Japan.

For the first half of 1993, Wynn’s reported that profit increased 30% to $4.3 million, or $1.16 a share, from $3.3 million, or 90 cents a share, a year earlier. Six-month sales dropped 4% to $141.8 million from $148.1 million.
