LOS ANGELES : Bradley May Still Be Called in City Clerk Case

Share

An attorney for former City Clerk Elias (Lee) Martinez, who was fired for alleged sexual harassment of several subordinates, said Thursday it is still possible that he will call former Mayor Tom Bradley to testify.

Attorney Robert Dohrmann, who is representing Martinez, has contended that Bradley fired Martinez, a 32-year city employee, as part of a lingering political dispute. Martinez, who is appealing his dismissal in a Civil Service Commission hearing, has been accused of touching a clerk typist on three occasions and of ogling and making suggestive comments to other women in the office.

A former employee, the second to take the stand this week, testified on Thursday that she felt uncomfortable by Martinez’s glares and was pressured by Martinez into attending the office Christmas party.
