Economy Set for Recovery, Bank of Japan Says: Japan’s slowdown is nearly over, the Bank of Japan said in its quarterly economic outlook. The economy is seen moving toward a recovery in the second half of fiscal 1993-94 ending next March, as production is expected to rise gradually. Private demand is also likely to recover but only moderately, the central bank said. But the bank expressed concern about the adverse effect of the high yen on corporate profits, leaving uncertainties about future recovery.
