Executive Named Irvine Co. Division President
Donald McNutt has been promoted to president of the Irvine Business Properties Co., a division of the Irvine Co. He is responsible for overseeing the operations of Four Seasons Hotel in Newport Beach, Hyatt Regency Irvine, Pelican Hill Golf Club, California Recreation Co. and the company’s commercial, industrial, retail, hotel and recreational ground lease properties. McNutt, who joined the Irvine Co. in 1976 as an accountant, was most recently vice president and general manager of Irvine Business Properties. He has also been president of the Irvine Co.’s Community Cablevision operations and was promoted to vice president and general manager of the Irvine Hotel Co.
* Albert J. Mayer III has been appointed vice president of training and development for the Prudential Real Estate Affiliates Inc. in Costa Mesa, the real estate franchise subsidiary of the Prudential Insurance Co. of America. Mayer has been with the company for more than a year as director of training. Before that, he was president and chief executive of Theodore Mayer & Brothers in Cincinnati.
* Youseff Ibrahim has been appointed vice president at the Newport Beach office of Bishop Hawk, a commercial real estate brokerage. He was previously with Schneider Commercial Real Estate in Orange for eight years.
* Daniel J. McWard has been appointed vice president of marketing and U.S. sales for Secrist Industries, an Anaheim manufacturer of life-support products. He was formerly director of marketing and business planning and group product manager at Iolab Corp. He also managed product launches at Electro Medical Systems in Englewood, Colo.
* Ted A. Hyman has been promoted to associate partner at Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Partnership in Newport Beach, an architecture, planning and interior design firm. He is responsible for the management, programming, planning and technical design of projects in the Newport Beach office. Hyman joined the firm in 1990.
* Richard A. Banks has joined Lincoln Property Co. in Irvine as vice president. He was formerly vice president and portfolio asset manager at American Real Estate Group. Before that, Banks was a vice president and partner with Property Co. of America and a senior sales consultant for CB Commercial.
* Rodney Kingston has joined National Bank of Southern California in Santa Ana as vice president and commercial loan officer. Most recently, he was senior vice president and chief administrative officer at Mid City Bank in Brea.
* Hal A. Burns has joined Daton Payroll Services Inc. in Santa Ana as tax manager. He was previously payroll manager and operations accountant for Kubota Tractor Corp.
* Joy Kelly has joined National Bank of Southern California as vice president of business development. She will be based in the bank’s South County regional office in Lake Forest. Before joining the bank, Kelly was with Security Pacific National Bank for 16 years.
* Marvin E. Rosenthale has been appointed vice president of a joint venture between Allergan Inc. in Irvine and Ligand Pharmaceuticals Inc. in San Diego. In his new position, Rosenthale will head research efforts in treatment of cancer and skin and eye diseases. Rosenthale previously served as executive director, group director and vice president of Drug Discovery Worldwide for the R.W. Johnson Pharmaceutical Research Institute. In addition, he has held key research positions with Ortho Pharmaceutical Corp. and Wyeth Laboratories.
