Middle East Plant: Computer manufacturer AST Research Inc. announced Tuesday that it has opened a 30,000-square-foot facility in the United Arab Emirates to house its Middle Eastern operations.
The facility is six times larger than AST’s original facility in the region and will house sales, marketing, warehouse and distribution facilities. AST experienced a 94% growth in revenue in that region during the past fiscal year, the company said.
AST, which is based in Irvine, operates 41 international sales offices and subsidiaries in more than 100 countries. The company recently reported $1.4 billion in revenue for its latest fiscal year.
