Happy to Be Happy

Thank you for the article on happy marriages (“And They All Lived Happily Ever After. . .,” Aug. 10). It was refreshing to read an upbeat story about these satisfied couples who expressed the positive aspect and great rewards of a good marriage. We are bombarded by negative stories of maladjusted people--no wonder our younger generation is hesitant to make a commitment. There are many contented, happy couples who seldom are interviewed--unfortunately happiness is seldom considered news.
