THE WINE LIST

Share

Bistro food calls for bistro wine, and Abiento’s small but well-designed wine list offers plenty.

What, you may ask, is bistro wine? It is wine without an attitude, stuff like Muscadet, $24, Trimbach Gewurztraminer, $24, a sparkling Prosecco, $14, even a chillable, quaffable Pinot Noir, $14.

Bistro wine is more than simply a good drink, however. It is also cheap. And Abiento doesn’t disappoint there, with such nice values as 1991 Reserve St. Martin Marsanne (a Chardonnay look-alike) at $14 and a decent Cotes du Rhone, La Vielle Ferme at $14.
