Nicaraguan Leader Visits O.C.: The Nicaraguan vice president, Virgilio Godoy Reyes, is spending several days in Orange County this week to discuss cooperation among United States, Mexican and Nicaraguan agricultural interests.
As the guest of the United Agribusiness League, an Irvine-based trade association, Reyes visited Orange County farm operators Hines Nursery, Treasure Farms and Calberi Inc. Hines grows trees and flowers, Treasure Farms grows fruit and vegetables, and Calberi is a marketing cooperative for local growers.
