Nesler Sanity Case Goes to the Jury
Associated Press
SONORA, Calif. —
The fate of Ellie Nesler, the woman who gunned down her son’s alleged molester in a Jamestown courtroom, was in a jury’s hands for the second time Wednesday.
The same jurors that last month convicted Nesler, 41, of voluntary manslaughter began deliberations on her sanity after closing arguments from opposing lawyers.
Nesler shot Daniel Mark Driver on April 2 at a court hearing to determine whether he should stand trial on charges that he molested her son and three other boys at a summer camp.
