A jury deliberated a second day Thursday without reaching a verdict on whether Ellie Nesler was sane when she opened fire in a courtroom and killed a shackled man accused of molesting her son.

Nesler, 41, convicted by the same jurors of voluntary manslaughter, faces from six months in custody if found insane and up to 16 years in prison if jurors decide she was sane when she shot Daniel Mark Driver during an April 2 hearing in Jamestown.
