Salvadoran Candidate to Speak

Ruben Zamora, a leading presidential candidate in El Salvador, is scheduled to speak at 6 tonight at the Blessed Sacrament Church, 6657 Sunset Blvd.
Zamora, the candidate of the left-of-center Democratic Convergence, will speak on conditions in postwar El Salvador and the country’s national elections in March, which follow 12 years of civil war.
The talk is sponsored by a coalition that includes the Central American Refugee Center, the Committee for Development and Democracy in El Salvador and the Southern California Ecumenical Interfaith Task Force in Central America.
Donations of $10 for general admission and $5 for low-income residents are asked.
