* In response to “Insurance Rules Would Hike Cost for Most Drivers,” Sept. 17:

Is it any wonder that politicians are at the bottom of the social scale? After much hoopla and outright lies Proposition 103 was passed and John Garamendi got himself elected as insurance commissioner vowing to uphold Proposition 103 and save us all money. Indeed he is upholding Proposition 103 and now quietly (very quietly) admits that it will cost most of us more money.

Harvey Rosenfeld, where are you?

* Under new auto insurance regulations proposed by Commissioner Garamendi, the good driver will pay more so that the bad drive may pay less; the responsible individual will pick up the bill for the irresponsible.

I find this unsurprising because, after all, doesn’t this reflect the philosophy of the Democratic Party?
