World IN BRIEF : CHINA : 8 Financial Workers Executed for Graft

As part of a campaign against corruption, China executed eight financial workers in four graft cases, the official media reported. In what authorities are calling the single largest graft case ever discovered in China, an accountant from a branch of the Industrial & Commercial Bank of China in Hainan province and accomplices embezzled $5.87 million last year, the New China News Agency said.
