Share

The Red Cross Youth Volunteers Ice Cream Social will be held Sunday in honor of the more than 2,600 young people who volunteer for the Orange County chapter.

Volunteers and their parents are welcome to attend the awards ceremony and dig into the desserts from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at the Anaheim House Museum, 1207 N. West St.

The event includes a tour of the house and its museum of Red Cross memorabilia.

The Red Cross will also recognize outstanding volunteers for their help with baby food drives, the HIV/AIDS volunteer program, high school blood drives and youth mentor program in which volunteers act as mentors to children in transitional housing.
