From Times Staff and Wire Reports

A convicted child-killer who has been driven out of six Texas cities after being paroled in June moved into his mother’s home in Austin despite protests from neighbors, who fear he may harm their children. Raul Meza, who was convicted in the 1982 rape and murder of Kendra Page, 8, while she was playing in an Austin schoolyard, moved into his mother’s home two blocks from an elementary school. Meza, 32, who was paroled for good behavior from prison after serving 11 years of a 30-year sentence, wears a monitor that limits him to a 120-foot radius of the house.
