Shots were fired Thursday night at a warehouse near Miami International Airport, killing one man and wounding two others, officials said.

A fourth man was injured in a fall.

Police received calls of people being shot at Aircraft Modular Products and set up a perimeter around the warehouse, according to Metro-Dade Fire Rescue spokeswoman Ellen Duran.

“We believe there was more than one gunman,” said Metro-Dade Police Department spokesman Don Blocker, who could not confirm if shots were fired from the rooftop.

“We don’t know if it was a sniper,” Blocker said. “We don’t know if it was a robbery.”

One of three men transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital with gunshot wounds died, said hospital administrator Bruce Fresko.

The two others were in surgery, and a fourth man was in stable condition, hospital officials said. No identities were being released.

One man tried to get away by climbing to the second floor of the warehouse and fell, breaking his hip, said Metro-Dade Fire Department spokesman Bill Glass.

Blocker said police had entered the building and secured the inside, where an undetermined number of workers remained.

Aircraft Modular Products makes products to outfit planes.

A report on WTVJ-TV in Miami quoted police sources as saying that the shooting might be connected to an upcoming drug trial.
