A Louisiana teen-ager confessed Thursday to setting fire to a Houston-area abortion clinic after federal agents found his wallet on the clinic roof, federal authorities said.

Joshua Graff, 19, was charged with arson in Sunday’s blaze after federal agents arrested him Wednesday night at his mother’s home in Sulfur, La.

Graff, who had participated in sidewalk protests at the clinic, was also under investigation for possible involvement in 60 other unsolved abortion clinic fires throughout the country, federal authorities said.

Graff reportedly had staked out several other abortion clinics that have since burned, but officials declined to say if he was a suspect.

“We are trying to see if his behavior with this fire matches any kind of pattern for others, but we are not sure right now,” a spokeswoman for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms said.

Graff confessed that he set the fire to the West Loop Clinic, according to U.S. District Court records in Lake Charles, La. No one was injured in the blaze.
