World IN BRIEF : SOUTH KOREA : Ferry Refloated, Toll Put at 261

Workers salvaged a ferry that sank off the west coast a week ago and recovered 74 more bodies on Sunday, raising the number of confirmed deaths to 261. President Kim Young Sam today fired his transportation minister, holding him responsible for the disaster. State television said the ferry, licensed to carry 207 passengers, was believed to have had more than 360 when it sank last Sunday.
