Westerfield Named to USC Business School Post: Randolph Westerfield has been named dean of the USC School of Business Administration, effective Dec. 15. Westerfield, an expert on corporate finance, is currently the Charles B. Thornton Professor of Finance and Business Economics at USC and chair of the finance and business economics department of the School of Business Administration. As dean, he will hold the Robert R. Dockson Dean’s Chair in Business Administration. Westerfield succeeds Jack R. Borsting, who has served as dean since 1988. Borsting will assume the E. Morgan Stanley Professorship in Business Administration. Before joining USC in 1988, Westerfield was a professor of finance for eight years at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
