WESTMINSTER : Ordinance Would Allow Taller Fences
The City Council today will consider an ordinance that would allow apartment and condominium owners to install six-foot-high fences around their property to provide additional security.
The municipal code currently limits fences to three feet, officials said, but increasing the height to six feet is justified because of the growing threat of crime.
In July, the Planning Commission approved an application to build a six-foot fence around an apartment building on 15th Street. That became the basis for the proposed ordinance, officials said.
