Some things never stay out of fashion. Take Betty Boop.

Sixty-three years after making her animated-movie debut, demand remains strong for the squealy-voiced cartoon flapper of “boop-boop-a-doop.” In fact, King Features Syndicate has recently licensed Betty to 25 apparel makers to appear on fabrics from silk to leather.

“Cartoon characters are enjoying a big resurgence in consumer popularity, and Betty Boop is sassy and in style,” says Ita Golzman of King Features.
