Unilever to Acquire Bertolli From Italian Firm: Unilever and the Italian group Fi.Svi (Istituto Finanziario per lo Sviluppo delle Economie Locali(a)) have reached agreement in principle for Unilever to acquire the edible-oil part of the Cirio-Bertolli-De Rica business. The intended acquisition would comprise the olive oil brand Bertolli, the production and marketing operations in Italy and sales operations abroad. Bertolli is the leading olive oil brand in the United States and is well established in several other countries.
