Number of New Homes Sold in L.A. County County Declines 7% in First Nine Months

More than 4,200 new homes were sold in Los Angeles County in the first nine months of this year--7% fewer than the same period last year. The average size of a mortgage for purchase of a new home was $159,203 compared to $163,455 a year ago.
