THANKSGIVING DAY

Today is Thanksgiving. The following will be closed in observance of the holiday:

* All city, county and state offices will be closed today and Friday. Federal offices will be closed today only.

* County, state and federal courthouses will be closed today. The federal courthouse will accept emergency filings only on Friday.

* Libraries will be closed today and Friday.

* Banks and savings and loans are closed today.

* Public schools, colleges and universities will be closed today and Friday.

* Mail: Mail will not be delivered today.

* Trash: Trash will not be picked up today. Residents with Thursday trash pickups should put their trash out Friday. Those with Friday trash pickups should put their trash out Saturday, with the exceptions of Anaheim, Brea, Fullerton, Garden Grove, Orange, Placentia and Yorba Linda. In those cities, residents with trash pickup Friday should put their trash out as scheduled.

* Buses: OCTA buses will run on a limited holiday schedule today. Limited Dial-a-Ride and car-pool services are available. Call (800) 636-RIDE for more information.

* Parks: All city and county parks are open today.
