Falcon, Kagan Invest in British Firm: Avalon Telecommunications, a joint venture between Los Angeles-based Falcon Holding Group and Carmel-based media investor Paul Kagan, has acquired the controlling stake in a 230,000 home cable television and telephone franchise from Nynex Cablecoms in Teeside-Darlington, England, for an undisclosed price. Avalon will begin building a state-of-the-art, switched fiber optic system that will provide both cable TV and telephone service to the communities of northeast England.
