It’s Tag, You’re It, With Police Fleet!
<i> Associated Press</i>
TAMPA, Fla. —
Oops! Someone forgot to renew expired license tags on more than 100 police cars--including the chief’s.
Other law enforcement agencies, such as the Florida Highway Patrol and the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s office, have noticed. So far, they’ve issued three tickets, one warning citation and four verbal warnings.
Most of the expired tags are on unmarked vehicles. They are usually driven by detectives. Unlike marked patrol cars, which display yellow city tags, the unmarked cars carry standard license tags.
