From Associated Press
BEIJING —
China will allow foreign investors to operate joint-venture airlines and railways starting next year, a government-run newspaper reported Sunday.
The China Daily quoted Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation official Lin Kun as saying transportation is one of several sectors opening to foreign investment.
China approved applications for 67,766 new foreign-funded companies or projects from January through October, double the total for the same period of last year.
