St. John Knits Inc.: The Irvine designer and manufacturer of women’s clothing and accessories said net income for the fiscal year ended Oct. 31 increased 34% to $11.1 million, or $1.35 a share, from the previous year’s profit of $8.3 million, or $1.02 a share. Sales were up 25% to $100.3 million from $80.2 million. Fourth-quarter earnings rose 11% to $3.9 million, or 47 cents a share, from $3.5 million. Sales increased 22% to $29.6 million from $24.2 million.
