* In response to the article written by Prof. Robert Peterson (Commentary, Dec. 14) concerning the often quoted line of Shakespeare, “The first thing we do, let’s kill all the lawyers,” the point he makes about it being quoted out of context is not the point. In or out of context, the point is that some 550 years ago Shakespeare decided to say what he said. Whether it was his opinion or that of some fictional character (Dick the Butcher) it was obviously a thought that was popular in those times.
