Datametrics Plans to Sell 2 Million Shares

Datametrics Corp., a Chatsworth maker of computer printers and communications products, said it filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission covering a proposed public offering of 2 million shares of common stock, which recently has been trading at about $3 a share.

All of the shares are being sold by the company, and the offering is expected to take place in February. Datametrics said it will use the proceeds for the development of products based on the company’s color printer technology. The managing underwriter for the offering will be Cruttenden & Co. of Irvine.
