Flamemaster Reports Sharp Earnings Drop

Flamemaster Corp., a Sun Valley maker of sealants, adhesives and coatings, reported that its earnings fell on a sharp decline in revenues in its fiscal fourth quarter and year ended Sept. 30.
The company said it was hampered by cutbacks in government purchases and by difficulties in the aerospace industry.
In the fourth quarter, Flamemaster earned $172,047, down 34% from a $261,034 profit a year earlier. Its revenue fell 37%, to $884,771 from $1.41 million.
For the year, the company had earnings of $473,643, a 45% decline from $861,153 in net income in the previous year. Its revenue totaled $3.39 million, down 37% from $5.38 million.
