Bentsen to Visit China

BEIJING —
Treasury Secretary Lloyd Bentsen will visit China beginning Jan. 19, the U.S. Embassy said Tuesday. His full program is still being worked out, a spokeswoman said.
The Clinton Administration has tried to increase contacts with China in order to deal with some of the problems, from trade to human rights, that have bedeviled the bilateral relationship.
