AND ONE MORE THING: Of all the holiday promotional items spotted by Pop Eye, from key rings to sweat pants, our favorite was a CD-sized booklet from Warner Bros. Records. The title: “Holiday Favorites: Recipes from the Family of Warner Bros. Records Recording Artists.”

The delicacies range from Madonna’s “Krispy Marshmallow Treats” (which suspiciously resembles a recipe usually published on a certain cereal box) and Biz Markie’s tuna casserole--in which you can use either butter or Cheese Whiz--to a very involved “Enchiladas de Los Lobos” and “Vegetarian Moussaka” by k.d. lang (identified as a “Grammy-winning vocalist and vegetable enthusiast”).

And then there’s “Lou Reed’s X-Mas Recipe”:

“Go to Carnegie Deli and order a hot pastrami sandwich with full sour pickles.”
