Curtain Going Up in Santa Fe

Share

Tickets for the 1994 Santa Fe Opera season, which opens July 1 with a new production of Puccini’s “Tosca” and runs through Aug. 27, go on sale to the public Jan. 31. Prices range from $19, for a seat on the side on a weeknight, to $102 for the best seat in the house on a Friday or Saturday. Although donors who have contributed $50 or more have priority until Jan. 31, no donation is required to order single seats. And while demand is high for opening weekend, the last week in July and the first week in August, travelers who order early should be able to attend almost any performance of their choice, a spokeswoman said. Orders are processed in the order received, whether by mail, phone or fax. The schedule also includes the American premiere of “The Story of Blond Eckbert,” new productions of “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” and “Abduction From the Seraglio” and “Intermezzo.” To obtain a brochure, call the box office at (505) 986-5900.
