On Dec. 5, you featured a Peter Darley Miller photo spread titled “Fa-La-La-La-La-La-La-La-L.A.” (Style: Holiday Gifts). This prophecy-in-pictures recasts the genius of this experiment called Los Angeles and at the same time summed up my reason for wanting to return here after 15 years in Austin, Tex. In this group of pictures, we see what we are to become: a community of diversity and tolerance enriched by a level of synergy never before attempted--something new under the sun that gives us every reason for hope and optimism.

I don’t know the procedures and processes of Pulitzer nominations, but someone who does should give this photo feature the full-court press. It merits wide broadcast and the attention of all.
