A-Plant Shuts Down as Precautionary Move

FT. CALHOUN, Neb. —
A nuclear power plant shut down Friday after an electrical relay failure. A low-level emergency was declared for about four hours.
There was no release of radioactivity and no threat to the public or plant workers, said the Omaha Public Power District, which owns and operates the plant.
