Quantum Records Stronger Profits

Quantum Health Resources Inc., an Orange health care company, posted a profit of $16.6 million, or $1.07 a share, for 1993. That compares with a 1992 profit of $12.6 million, or 83 cents a share. Year-end and fourth-quarter results for 1992 have been restated for the Feb. 25, 1993, acquisition of the I.V. Clinic Inc., to account for a pooling of interests. Revenue increased 47%, to $201.7 million from $137 million. For the 1993 fourth quarter, profit rose to $4.8 million, or 31 cents a share, from $2.6 million, or 17 cents a share. Revenue gained 43%, rising to $57.6 million from $40.2 million last year.
