Behind The Scenes : Romance and Music Fill Air at Valentine Dance

Share

Flowers led the way to romance at the Valentine’s Dinner Dance sponsored by the Black Singles of Orange County. Crimson carnations were handed out to everyone attending Sunday’s heart-beating event at Randell’s Jazz Club in Santa Ana.

During the evening, 60 guests dined at candle-lit tables that overlooked a lake, then danced to the sounds of Itzafunkthang.

Most of the men donned the ultimate in sweep-her-off-her-feet wear: a suave suit and bold tie. Most of the women wore cocktail dresses in colors associated with sweetheart’s day: red and white.

For the women, a lot of attention was also spent on dressing their hair with French rolls, up ‘do’s, decorative hairpieces and beaded braids.

Beverly Dekine of Fountain Valley went lustrous from head to toe, wearing a gold two-piece after-6 suit with matching rimmed hat and shoes.
