BUENA PARK : Chorus Seeks Singers for Music, Friendship

Buena Park Community Chorus is looking for singers of all ages who like to belt out tunes such as “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” or “A Bushel and a Peck.”

New members are invited to join the chorus, which rehearses 7 p.m. Mondays in the Senior Citizens complex at the Buena Park Community Center, 8150 Knott Ave.

The 52-member chorus is currently rehearsing for its June concert, “Calendar Capers.”

Singers from other Orange County cities are invited to be part of the group. No auditions are held.

“They just need to have the dedication, like to sing and a willingness to contribute,” said treasurer JeanneClayton, a member for seven years.

Members not only enjoy singing and performing together, but there are rewards in the camaraderie as well, Clayton said. “I go as far as calling them my second family. There are deep friendships made.”
