Richard Emory, 75, an actor who appeared primarily in Western films and television series. Emory, whose real name was Emory Johnson Jr., was born in Santa Barbara, the son of silent movie star Ella Hall, and lived most of his life in North Hollywood. His films of the late 1940s and 1950s included “Code of the Silver Sage,” “Gene Autry and the Mounties,” “Little Big Horn,” “Hellgate” and “The Crooked Web.” On television, Emory appeared frequently in the series of Roy Rogers and Hopalong Cassidy and “Death Valley Days.” On Friday in Moab, Utah, of a stroke.
