Imported Vehicle Sales Up 26%: Sales of imported cars, trucks and buses in Japan soared in February from the year-earlier month to 17,812 units, the Japan Automobile Importers Assn. reported. The sharp increase in February came as an extension of the recent rise in foreign car sales in Japan, which are boosted largely by lower prices resulting from the appreciation of the yen against the dollar and other major currencies.
