The makers of Roadkill Helper have agreed to pull the joke item and other Hamburger Helper parodies, settling a lawsuit brought by General Mills.

Colorado-based Gag Foods, which also makes Spotted Owl Helper, agreed to stop selling the items by the end of the year, said Kevin Callaghan of Callaghan Promotions in Birmingham. Callaghan distributes the products.

General Mills spokeswoman Pam Becker said the company tried to negotiate with Gag Foods and Callaghan Promotions for two years before filing the suit in September in U.S. District Court in Detroit.
