Amgen, MIT Reach Research Agreement

Amgen Inc., a Thousand Oaks biotechnology concern, said it has entered a research agreement with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Under the agreement, Amgen will fund up to $30 million over 10 years to MIT researchers, who will initiate projects and have the right to publish articles on the research. Amgen will have certain patent and technology licensing rights to any developments resulting from the research.

Amgen scientists might also serve as visiting scientists at MIT.
