Tokyo Stocks Calm as Investors Await Word on New Cabinet: Stocks were little changed early today as investors awaited news on the formation of a new cabinet following the resignation Friday of Prime Minister Morihiro Hosokawa. In the first half hour of trading, the benchmark Nikkei 225-share average fell 65.02 points or 0.33%, to 19,869.97. “Today is very dependent on what comes out of talks with the coalition and obviously the market’s going to have one eye very firmly on what comes out of those sort of talks,” said David Harris, an equity trader at Barclays de Zoete Wedd.
