Semiconductor Book-to-Bill Ratio Unchanged: The Semiconductor Industry Assn.’s closely watched ratio was 1.13 for March, unchanged from the revised number for February. The February book-to-bill was revised downward from 1.15. A ratio of 1.13 indicates that for every $100 in semiconductor shipments to the U.S. market, chip makers received $113 in new orders. A ratio above 1 indicates that the market is expanding. Analysts had expected the number to be between 1.16 and 1.20 in March. Bookings, based on a three-month moving average, were $2.7215 billion, up 2.8% from $2.6482 billion in February.
