Low Named to Business Post at Castle Rock

Castle Rock Entertainment has hired former Largo Entertainment executive Kenneth Low as director of business and legal affairs.

Low will handle contract negotiations. He reports to Jess Wittenberg, senior vice president of business and legal affairs.

Castle Rock has also named Alison Harstedt vice president, production controller and Elizabeth Clark director of publicity.

* MCA Records has named Angee Jenkins national director of publicity. Mitch Brody has been named manager of artists and repertoire.

* Marc Sternberg has been named senior vice president of production at Daybreak Productions, the Universal Pictures company led by Charles Gordon.

* World Cup USA Chief Executive and Los Angeles lawyer Alan Rothenberg is producing “With Honors,” a Warner Bros. film starring Joe Pesci. It is scheduled for release later this month through A&A; Productions.

* Sony Pictures Entertainment has named Ted Howells chief financial officer. He replaces Abbott Brown, who is leaving to join a merchant banking company.

* Hemdale Communications has named Timothy Waters president of its new Hemdale Interactive Publishing division.

* Paul H. Green now heads business and legal affairs at Propaganda Films.

* Robert M. Allen is the new vice president in charge of production operations at Disney-MGM Studios. Todd Mansfield has been named executive vice president of Disney Development Co.
