Disease Detection International: The Irvine-based marketer of blood and pregnancy tests is in the final stages of a merger with an Irish medical diagnostic instruments company. Terms of the deal with Trinity Biotech of Dublin, Ireland, were not disclosed in an announcement Tuesday.

Disease Detection International markets blood tests for detecting acquired immune deficiency syndrome in Mexico and South America. It also markets pregnancy tests in North and South America. Trinity Biotech also markets medical diagnostic tests.
