Barcelona Pianist Wins

OVIEDO, Spain —
Barcelona-born pianist Alicia de Larrocha was awarded one of eight Spain’s Prince of Asturias annual prizes Friday for her work in the arts.
Organizers said the prize was in recognition of de Larrocha’s status as one of the greatest living pianists and among the best in history.
