ShopTrac Data Collection Is Acquired by Kronos Inc.

ShopTrac Data Collection Systems Inc., a software developer based in Calabasas, has been acquired by Kronos Inc. of Waltham, Mass. Financial terms of the transaction weren’t disclosed.

Kronos, a publicly traded company, had revenue of $67 million in its 1993 fiscal year. ShopTrac, a closely held firm, was founded in 1984 and has annual sales of several million dollars, said Jourdi de Werd, vice president of Greif & Co., a Los Angeles investment banking firm that helped arrange the deal.
