ROME : Big NATO Games Set
The United States and 10 European nations will participate in Dynamic Impact 94, a two-week NATO naval and air exercise beginning Wednesday in the central and western Mediterranean area.
The exercise aims at coordinating commands of conventional forces from Belgium, Britain, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Turkey and the United States.
NATO and European Union ships patrol the Adriatic constantly, monitoring the year-old economic embargo on warring Yugoslavia. Some of the exercises will include mock air attacks and boarding operations. The embargo is focused on key materials such as oil and weapons.
